Kangana has been asked to play Heer in a modern adaptation of Heer Ranjha
The classic love tale of Heer Ranjha has caught the fancy of Tanu Weds Manu director Aanand L Rai. Rai has decided to make its contemporary version with Kangana Ranaut playing Heer.
A source close to the development told SpotboyE.com, "Rai has spoken about Heer Ranjha to Kangana."
The modalities are fast being worked out. This will be Rai's third film with Kangana. Currently, Rai is filming Tanu Weds Manu 2 with Kangana in a double role.
Despite repeated attempts, Rai remained unavailable for comment.
